When an organization undertakes projects or initiatives to improve performance, seize opportunities or address key issues, they often require changes; changes to processes, job roles, organizational structures and types and use of technology. However, it is actually the members of your organization who have to ultimately change how they do their jobs. If these individuals are unsuccessful in their personal transitions, if they are not well trained and don’t embrace and learn a new way of working, the initiative will fail. If employees embrace and adopt changes required by the initiative, it will deliver the expected results that the organisation envisaged.
Training is the cornerstone for building knowledge about the change and the required skills to succeed in the future state. Ensuring impacted individual receive the training they need at the right time is a primary role of change management. ACP will develop training requirements based on the skills, knowledge and behaviours necessary to implement the change. These training requirements will be the starting point for the training group or the project team to develop and deliver training programs.
