Teo Mei Ling – Executive Director and General Manager
Makes sure that ACP is line with its financial strategies and goals.
Mei Ling has been appointed as the General Manager for ACP Group since January 2010 and as the Executive Director since January 2011. She is responsible for the financial and reporting functions, including accounting, taxation, treasury and compliance. Mei Ling also oversees the Human Resources and Corporate Communication of the Group. She is the Editorial advisor for ACP’s quarterly newsletters published for the schools and corporates. She is also the engaged management representative for the Group certification for ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, whereby ACP has been re-certified for ISO 9001: 2008 in 2012.
With enthusiasm in education, Mei Ling has involved herself actively in the design, management and delivery of ACP’s CHESS. CHESS represents Collaborative Holistic Empowering System for Students – a framework that looks into curriculum and methodology to support and enhance the use of ICT in education. As a parent of 3 school going children herself, she contributes to the strategic growth of ACP Education unit on the aspects of the needs of the students and educators; and how ACP can market and position itself as a one-stop solution to the schools.
Mei Ling brought in with her over 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, as well as both internal and external auditing. Prior to joining ACP, she was an External Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers while managing a portfolio of clients. She managed the execution of audit engagements and reviewed the financial statements of companies in the banking, oil and energy industries, including entities listed in the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX-ST). She moved on to be the Internal Audit Manager at National University of Singapore and subsequently joined The Hour Glass as the Head of the Internal Audit Department. During her last employment in luxury retail group listed in SGX-ST, she was tasked to oversee and implement controls for all the outlets located in Japan, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Her regional exposure at The Hour Glass has broadened her perspective in all arrays of work and lives.
Mei Ling graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree (2nd Upper Honours). She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
