Using CHESS 2015™, we are able to cover the three key elements for fostering 21st Century Learning:
- Emphasize Core Subject: Knowledge and skills for the 21st Century must be built on Core Subjects. The focus on Core Subject is the above case study has expanded beyond basic competency to the understanding of core content at a much higher level.
- Emphasize Learning Skills: As much as students need knowledge in core subjects, they also need to know how to keep learning continually throughout their lives. Learning Skills will comprise of three broad categories
- Information and Communication Skills;
- Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills;
- Interpersonal and Self-directional Skills
- CHESS 2015™ have foster these skills to ensure that students have incorporated learning skills triggering self-exploration, exchanging, and creating ideas which revolve around collaborative learning to aid their Information and Communication Skills . Using of our 21st Century approaches to develop Thinking and Problem Solving Skills as well as Interpersonal and Self-directional Skills.
- Teach and Learn in 21st Century Context: Students need to learn content through real-world examples, applications and experiences both inside and outside of school. Students understand and retain more when their learning is relevant, engaging and meaningful to their lives.
CHESS 2015™ will not only result in increased student achievement, but will also prepare students for a successful life in the 21st Century and beyond.
